Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort to Host October Wine Dinner
Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort will host "A Journey to South America" wine reception and dinner at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 26.
The event will begin in the recently renovated lobby bar, McCoys Rum Room. Guests will enjoy a wine, cheese and crudité reception from 6:30 - 7 p.m. Patrons will be escorted to Doc Bales' Grill at 7:15 p.m. as the event continues with a four-course dinner and wine pairing prepared by Executive Chef Tony Johnson and Sous Chef Bradford Brodie. The evening will also feature special guest Gabriel Blanco, owner of Mairena Winery.
The dinner's menu includes the following courses:
Citrus Shrimp Ceviche
with Fresh Herbs
Coconut Milk Base Soup with Lobster, Crab, Shrimp and Flaky Fish with Fried Plantains
Wine pairing: Mairena Torrontes
Braised Pork Empanada
With Chipotle Sour Cream and Chargrilled Black Bean Salad
Wine pairing: Grace's Vine Pinot Noir-Chile
Seared Carnita with Mole Sauce
Accompanied by Cardamon Spice Sweet Potatoes and Jicama with Red Cabbage Pikliz
Wine pairing: Mairena Malbec
Dos Leches Cake
With Caramel Sauce
Wine pairing: Aromo Cabernet-Chile
