After all, Daytona Beach plays host to more than 60 different events and festivals all year long, catering to everyone from the hot-rod lover to the professed foodie.
Here are some of the most popular events happening in and around Hilton Daytona Beach in the coming weeks,
Beer and Bacon Festival: February 29th
If bacon (or beer) is life then you'll enjoy this festival that celebrates two of the most delicious treats the world has to offer. On Saturday, February 29th from 1-6pm, Riverfront Shops of Daytona in downtown Daytona Beach is kicking off Leap Day with a festival dedicated solely to refreshing beer and our favorite sizzling breakfast meat, bacon. To experience delicious beer tastings and bacon-centric snacks purchase tickets online before Friday, February 28th; however, you can also visit Plaza Park and Nitro Ice Cream Café to purchase tickets the day of the event.
Free Tours of Sugar Works Distillery
Sugar Works Distillery, a family-owned distillery in New Smyrna Beach, is offering free tours of their distillery throughout the month of February. The tours last anywhere from 45-60 minutes and you'll get to see how their rums, moonshine and whiskey are made from start to finish. You'll even get the opportunity to sample these spirits at the end of the tour.
While visitors of all ages can visit the distillery you do have to be at least 21 years old to partake of their spirits. Their tasting room is open Thursday through Saturday from 10am-8pm and Sunday from 10am-6pm.
Experience Mardi Gras Fun: February 25th
On Fat Tuesday, "laissez les bons temps rouler!" (let the good times roll!) at Flagler Avenue, where they will be hosting the 14th annual Mardi Gras parade at 7pm. Thousands of beads will be thrown during the parade so get ready to cheer! Afterwards, stick around for some live music, entertainment and food specials. It's Mardi Gras excitement that the whole family can enjoy. Don Rico's will be celebrating with these menu specials: Lunch shrimp po boy sliders; Dinner seafood gumbo and rice.
50th Annual Daytona Supercross: March 7th
Race car fans: Start your engines and head down to Daytona Beach in March if you don't want to miss the 50th annual Daytona Supercross. This is the longest continuous Supercross race in America, and with it being their 50th anniversary, Daytona wants to bring back some of the old-school elements of the course from when this race first begin. Get your tickets so you don't miss the Daytona Supercross happening in the beginning of March at the "World Center of Racing".
Bike Week: March 6-15th
The biggest motorcycle event in the US is happening right here in Daytona Beach from March 6th-15th. Hundreds of bikers from around the country come to the "World's Most Famous Beach" to experience the thrill, excitement and camaraderie of Bike Week. From factory demo rides, top bike vendors, bike shows, parties and scenic rides near the beach, this is a week you won't want to miss. Celebrate St. Patrick's Day Daytona Beach-Style: March 14-17th
Let the luck of the Irish follow you to Daytona Beach, where you'll find a variety of events, parades and fun happening March 14-15th (the weekend leading up to St. Patrick's Day). O'Leary's Irish Pub is pulling out all the stops that weekend, with corned beef and cabbage, delicious Irish pub food, live bagpipe music and all the Guinness you can drink. Our St. Patrick's Day Party will be held in McCoy's Rum Room from 8pm to 12am with Jameson drink specials, green beer and Irish pub food.
If you'll be in town for St. Patrick's Day (Tuesday, March 17th), don your green attire and visit the Museum of Arts and Sciences for a day of family-filled holiday fun. Listen to Irish music, sample delicacies and watch live Irish dancers perform. For those old enough to imbibe, you'll also find a beer and whiskey garden offering beer from local breweries. This event is happening from 6pm-8pm and you'll want to register for the event.
Spring Turkey Run: March 27-29th
The Spring Turkey Run is a paradise for car enthusiasts, showcasing thousands of classic cars along with swap meets, arts and crafts, and fun events geared towards the kiddos. Check out the vendors ready to help you customize your own sweet ride or just drool over the unique hot rods. You'll find the Spring Turkey Run happening at none other than the famous Daytona International Speedway.
