National Dance & Cheer Championships in Daytona Beach
Celebrating 41 Years of Cheer in Daytona
You may have heard of Daytona's iconic cheer competition from the Netflix series "Cheer," but did you know that the national championships take place just steps away from Hilton Daytona Oceanfront Beach Resort? For more than 20 years, our beachfront hotel has hosted many of the cheer and dance teams each April—including the Navarro team!
With high-intensity competition and routines that will leave you in awe, the National Cheer Association (NCA) and National Dance Association (NDA) Collegiate Championships in Daytona Beach are a must-see when in town. Here's everything you need to know before attending the cheer event of the season.
About the Cheer & Dance Championships
Now in its 41st year, the NCA & NDA Collegiate Championships take place at the iconic Daytona Beach Bandshell and Ocean Center. This outdoor venue is located right on the beach and just minutes away from Hilton Daytona. The top cheer and dance teams from across the country come to Daytona Beach in hopes of taking home a national title. Following tradition, winners will run into the ocean after the competition, trophy in hand, to celebrate their victory.
The cheer week events are open to the general public, and tickets can be purchased on-site or online. Please visit the official website for more information on tickets. If you can't attend the event in person, the championships can also be streamed on Varsity TV.
Location: Ocean Center & Daytona Beach Bandshell
Dates: April 6-10, 2022
Daytona Stunt Fest & More Cheer Week Activities
The fun doesn't stop when the competition ends. After the finals, cheer teams gather on the lawn behind our Daytona Beach oceanfront resort for an informal event known as Stunt Fest. Get ready to see elite level tumbling, jumps, basket tosses and more as cheerleaders show off their skills and athletic abilities.
This year, Hilton Daytona will be setting up a photobooth for both teams and guests to capture memories during cheer week.
