The Bacon Beatdown takes place at the Ocean Center this summer, a fitness event for Daytona Crossfit enthusiasts and professional athletes. Show your support for an athlete, enjoy healthy food, and shop for fitness apparel.
The Bacon Beatdown takes place at the Daytona Beach Ocean Center from June 24 to June 26, 2016. It's the ultimate competition of strength, agility, and fitness where competitors push their athletic abilities to new heights. This event is open to the public and attracts hundreds of spectators, volunteers, and participants.
The event features several divisions for beginner and recreational, intermediate, and elite athletes. Competitors perform a variety of exercises to demonstrate their strength, flexibility, and endurance. These include deadlifts, box jumps, hand release push-ups, pull-ups, and sit-ups. If you're a fitness enthusiast or are in town to cheer on an athlete, you won't want to miss the competitive events and fitness fair at The Bacon Beatdown this year.
Crossfitters from Daytona Beach and around the country, as well as fitness buffs, amateur and professional athletes are all welcome to this event. The stadium is set up with a warmup area and since events take place both indoors and outdoors, competitors are advised to bring a tent or canopy to be able to relax in the shade. Apparel and food vendors will have stalls set up around the event grounds during the event.
The Bacon Beatdown runs all day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. over the event weekend and attendees can enjoy easy access to the beach, restaurants, and shops near the Ocean Center before and after the competition. Stay at the Hilton Daytona Beach Resort/Ocean Walk Village, a short drive from the Ocean Center, for easy access to the competition grounds and Daytona Beach attractions. This oceanfront property offers modern amenities and spacious accommodations for athletes, fans, and families.
