Journey through time with Emily Jane Murray from Florida Public Archaeology Network and discover the importance and many uses of pottery! Pottery was an important technology for the Timucua and other Native Floridians. While most often used for cooking and storage, pottery also reflects important cultural traditions like art and belief systems. Explore how pottery can help archaeologists understand people from the past. All ages are welcome, minors must be accompanied by an adult. This event is subject to cancellation due to weather conditions. We will be meeting at the Killdeer pavilion on the west side of the park. Program is FREE with park admission! The rates are: $5.00 per vehicle. (Limit 2-8 people per vehicle). $4.00 per single-occupant vehicle. $2.00 per pedestrians, bicyclists, extra passengers or passengers holding an Annual Individual Entrance Pass.
